Technuf is seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer.

Job Description

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, operation, security, monitoring, and optimization of the District’s enterprise-wide network infrastructure across approximately 70 sites and two data centers. This role covers wired, wireless, WAN, firewall, and network services, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all network systems.

• Overview: Manages the wired, wireless, WAN, and internet network.
• Oversees LAN/WAN design, configuration, SMLT, SPB, QoS, and SD-WAN optimization.
• Performs daily monitoring, troubleshooting, and port/VLAN configuration changes.
• Manages Aruba Central, RF tuning, ClearPass NAC policies, and certificate-based authentication.
• Group Certification: Extreme ECS, Fortinet NSE 4+, Aruba ACMA, CompTIA Network+, Extreme ECS, Aruba ACMP, Aruba ACMA/ACMP, ClearPass ACCX.
• Primary Tools: Aruba Central, Extreme XIQ-SE, FortiManager, Team Dynamix.

Requirements

• Certifications: Extreme ECS, Fortinet NSE 4+, Aruba ACMA, CompTIA Network+, Extreme ECS, Aruba ACMP, Aruba ACMA/ACMP, ClearPass ACCX.
• Extensive experience designing, operating, and supporting large-scale enterprise network environments.
• Strong expertise in wired and wireless networking, WAN technologies, firewalls, NAC, and network monitoring platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Extreme Networks, Aruba, Fortinet, and enterprise monitoring tools (or equivalent technologies).
• Deep understanding of routing, switching, QoS, SD-WAN, RF design, and network security best practices.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
